What is Made in Millersville?
Made in Millersville is an annual showcase which highlights the scholarly and creative work of Millersville students. The event welcomes participation from students of all levels and disciplines to share their accomplishments in the form of presentations, panel discussions, poster sessions, visual displays, live performances, and experiments. Showcased work may be from class projects, group projects, or independent projects or research. MU professors are encouraged to integrate Made in Millersville into the curriculum by allowing students to either present or attend for credit that counts toward their final grades.
Made in Millersville is organized by a multidisciplinary committee of faculty and staff which is led by René Muňoz, Director of Sponsored Programs and Research Administration, Tatiana Pashkova-Balkenhol, Undergraduate Research Librarian, and Andy Welaish, Directory of Library Operations. The entire campus community—including students, faculty, staff, and the general public—are invited to attend the day’s events. Students who present at, participate in the conference can see the scholarly work of their fellow students, and exchange ideas across disciplines. Students who present will have an opportunity to gain skills and experience in presentation and public speaking, as well as the opportunity to meet other researchers and even potential employers.
The sessions are held in the McNairy Library and Learning Forum from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM the day of the event, Tuesday, April 17, 2018. The library is located at 9 N.
